Rai’s Process Server
Do you need to send notice of legal action to an adverse party? Our process servers can help you get your legal documents where they need to be with our same-day process service. With more than ten years of experience serving legal documents, we will make the job easy for you!
Service of process is the procedure by which a party to a lawsuit gives an appropriate notice of initial legal action to another party, court, or administrative body in an effort to exercise jurisdiction over that person so as to force that person to respond to the proceeding before the court, body, or other tribunal. We provide rush same-day service, attend to rush filings and last minute requests. All RUSH documents are attempted to be served within 24 hours and/or the same day if requested. Regular services may still be attempted the same day, otherwise within 1, 2 or 3 days of the request being made. The majority of Rush documents are served within 24 hours.

Why You Need A Professional — Process Service Made Easy
If you’ve ever tried to get an elusive defendant into court or into a negotiating room, then you know — it’s not easy. If you haven’t, you can trust us to learn how people sometimes go into hiding to avoid a summons or a subpoena. Serving people takes cunning and ingenuity. We have lots of experience with that. We serve your legal documents – no matter how much defendants try to hide. And we do it effectively, quickly, and affordably.
What Exactly Is Process Service?
There’s more to serving legal papers than meets the eye. More than you see on TV and in the movies. There’s a particular protocol everyone has to follow to abide by state and federal law.
Process service is the delivery of legal papers to a specific business or a person. The service gives formal notice that a case is pending, or a subpoena commands a witness to appear in court or at a deposition. We have to follow particular rules that leave no doubt the person or organization received the documents. Some documents have to be personally served — delivered to that specific person, not a housemate or co-worker. No one else can take or accept that person’s name. For a business, that means serving the appointed agent.
We know how to do this; we’ve been doing this work for 30 years. After we serve a particular individual, we will note the time, date, and location of the service, making the facts admissible in court. One single mistake can lead to a dismissal, so why risk it? Better to play it safe and hire a professional.
How We Do What We Do
As process-serving professionals, we know our role in the legal system. We work in every county nationwide. We live and breathe the laws, both local and federal, so we know how not to break them. We know how to deliver you valid written proof of service, good in court to establish the defendant or witness received the papers.
If you wanted to serve someone, where would you start? What if your hard-to-find individual left no trace behind? If it’s your case, you CAN’T serve the papers yourself. Maybe the business you’re looking for is in a secure building. We know all the legal ways around those issues. We can serve just about anyone, anywhere. We have databases, so when we search for a defendant, we know who we are looking for and where to look. Our resources are formidable, and we know how to outwit even the most slippery people. And we will do it without trespassing.
The rules for process serving are there for a reason. The rules are an unavoidable part of the legal process. As licensed professionals, we abide by those laws professionally and rigorously.
Personal Process Service
A personal process server delivers or serves legal documents to a defendant involved in a court case. We provide a variety of services for filing court papers and document retrieval, such as physically handing papers to defendants who are named in a court proceeding.
Service by Mail
Service by mail is the delivery of documents to give the opposing litigant notice of the pending lawsuit by mailing the documents to the party requiring service. Once a party has been properly filed with a complaint or summons, court papers in the lawsuit may be served on the parties in a post office, mailbox, sub-post office, substation, mail chute, or other facilities regularly maintained by the Postal Service. It provides a service that is complete at the time of deposit.
Substituted Service
Substituted or alternate service is leaving the court papers with a responsible person at the defendant’s dwelling place, usually the place of abode, or usual place of business, and then mailing the defendant a copy. It can replace personal service in situations where personal service is not required. The purpose is to make sure that anyone whose rights are at stake has a notice of what is going on in the court.
Stake Outs
We offer investigative stakeout services to deliver legal documents to evasive individuals. Stakeouts, by definition, is a period spent undercover for the surveillance of a residential or commercial location, waiting for the subject to enter or exit, so the process server can deliver the legal documents, such as a complaint, lawsuit, subpoena, writ of summons, or family law documents.
Private Investigation
We have private investigators who can serve legal documents trained and certified in all facets of process serving. They are experienced and knowledgeable about the federal, state, and local laws pertaining to serving documents to parties of a legal proceeding and which documents need to be hand-delivered.
